Have you ever felt or wondered why bad things happen to good people? Doesn’t the suffering or untimely death of those we consider undeserving pierce the heart, whether caused by a disaster or a disease? Sometimes circumstances like these make us wonder why God would allow such a tragic event to occur. Some people believe that bad things happen to good people because God allows them to be tested by their circumstances. Others believe that God allows these events simply because He loves us so much. He wants us to learn from them and grow as individuals. Still, others think there must be some other reason why bad things happen to good people, but they’re not sure what it could be.
God’s plan is always better than ours
God’s plan is perfect because it exactly designs for what we need to be happy and fulfilled. And even if your life seems like a mess right now, that doesn’t mean you can’t see the bigger picture and know that there will be good days ahead of you. You just have to trust that everything happens for a reason (and maybe not the one we want).
Eternity Has an Impact
Those who deny God’s presence believe that death is the end of everything and that there is nothing after it. We are nothing but dust and food for insects. These people regard pain as pure suffering, devoid of any redeeming value or reward. One might wonder why this brave act is noteworthy if we are all just body and flesh with no soul or spirit. But the truth is that a person who is brave and steadfast in the face of suffering will receive a reward in heaven, and that reward will be eternal life.
Freedom
We have both freedom and free will. God’s love is the reason; we have free will. No lover would permit anything less. He lets us go and sets us free.
The nature of good people
Good people always cherish their goodness. They continue to be righteous under all circumstances. In their opinion, the worst thing that could happen to them is to lose their commitment to righteousness. A wicked person will go to any lengths, choose any path, or take the easy way out to attain his objectives, aspirations, and priorities. Both good and bad people have difficulties. However, the former deepen their vices, while the latter strengthen their virtues. Negative people are cut off from themselves. They pursue sensory perfection in all they do. In the end, they don’t suffer because good people don’t give themselves up for temporary satisfaction.
If you’ve never been through a major tragedy, it may be difficult to imagine the pain of losing someone or something close to you. It’s natural to feel sad or angry at the situation. But if you read the Holy Book and contemplate why bad things happen to good people, it will help you understand what happened in your life.
